The Riverside South Community Association is thrilled to bring back our full complement of Canada Day celebrations for the first time since 2019 after pausing due to pandemic restrictions. It is always our biggest event of the year, and our goal is to make the 2023 edition memorable!
Enjoy inflatables, miniature train ride, rock climbing wall, laser tag, mini golf, obstacle course, a dunk tank, shows by Reptiles Rock and Junkyard Symphony, toddler zone, live DJ, face painting, balloon clowns, BBQ, cotton candy, and more!
Admission is free, access to the rides and entertainment only costs $14 in advance ($18 at the event, cash only) for ages 3+
Our improved BBQ tent (faster lines) will feed the whole family! Purchase food tickets at the registration tent with your fun passes and enjoy hamburgers ($3), hot dogs or veggie dogs ($2), or drinks (water, pop or juice $1)...cash only at the event, but food tickets can be purchased in advance with your fun passes through the ticket link.
Join us at Claudette Cain Park on July 1 for a professional fireworks display sponsored by the Riverside South Development Corporation!
Enjoy music starting at 8 pm and fireworks will begin at dusk (approx. 10 pm). Glow-products will be available for purchase in both the south and north fields. Parking is very limited at the park and we recommend either walking to the park or parking at the Your Independent Grocer plaza or the Park N Ride.
We are adding a market to our annual Canada Day celebrations! Nestled in the beautiful park area beside the gazebo (between the north and south field), this first annual market is being added to our huge Canada Day event to accommodate an even bigger portion of our neighbourhood residents! Our event has historically enticed 2000-3000 people, and it grows every year!
We aim to fill many of the spots with local artisans, crafters, and direct sellers (inventory at event) with a discounted rate of $40 per spot. Please use discount code "CRAFT" when checking out.
Local businesses and groups can also join without direct sales for an excellent opportunity to interact with their target market for the full rate of $250 per spot.
Check out the registration link for full details!
Events like this don't happen without the wonderful support of our volunteers. We have 200 spots to fill, and as a thank you, our volunteers get free food for themselves and free fun passes for their kids/siblings.
High school students: this is a great opportunity to rack up some community volunteer hours!
